Stoic
"Do not pay so much attention to your feelings; they are not a true source of support for you." - Type 4 - The Enneagram Institute
Long ago, I use to abide by the quote above because when I didn't pay attention to my feelings all the time, everything made sense, I was stoic, focused, and more quiet. Of course, I still wonder how I come across to others and if I'm offending them. But at the same time, I'm choosing not to worry about people anymore, or how I come across. I think it's more about protecting myself more, since I truly believe that I felt a lot better about myself when I had walls up around me so people wouldn't know what I was thinking or feeling as much. But I know I also had walls up to keep myself from doing regretful things, I have to deal with enough guilt as it is... so now I'm just re-learning new ways of living.
