Push it...
"Change the state of play." - Alice Morgan (Luther)
Everyday I challenge myself, and everyday I'm finding new ways to challenge myself even more. I've been stuck in a rut for the past 4 months, my weight kept fluctuating and I didn't know why. Last year in October & November I lost around 20 lbs. But I need to lose another 20 lbs to be near my goal. So I had to stop and think about what had changed in the past 4 months for my weight to keep fluctuating. And I realized I'm drinking more calories instead of just drinking water. So I decided to cut out the liquor and protein shakes, because those aspects were working against me. So I'll just stick with my water and increase the intensity of my workouts everyday. This morning, instead of taking my normal route to work, I decided to take the 6 mile route. And I must admit, it was extremely intense, and I sweated like a dog. But it's also still very warm so that might have had something to do with it.
But the reason I decided to really change my route and look at my diet, is because I want to lose 26lbs in a month. I know its a bit extreme, but I want to really get in there and push my limits. I want to see what kind of person I'll be after I do that. I mean, I heard about this guy named David Goggins (Ultra-marathon Runner & NAVY Seal) who lost 100lbs in 2 months. It's really unbelievable and probably more dangerous than even he realized. But I believe that he did it, because this guy is very self-motivated. So I figured, if he can do it... I might as well try to at least do something like that. But for me, it's just 26lbs so I'm starting a new change today. Not going to go the 12 week route, I'm going with the 4 week route.
I have to believe in the impossible again, and push myself to see what can happen.
