Shaman

When I was 15, I picked up my 1st Batman Comic from a Comic Strip store that was next to a music practice studio. The comic that I choose was "Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight", and I remember asking the Sales Person that I was looking for a Batman Comic that was new. And he pointed me towards "Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight" and picked the 1st edition of that new comic book called "Shaman". I'm reminded of that initial series because it really talked about Bruce Wayne's beginning in a different way, but for me it spoke on survival and new beginnings. After the series I started purchasing new editions and couldn't wait to build up a worthy collection of Batman Comics. However, I still kept re-reading the 1st edition all over, because there was a message there about beginnings. See, there is a reason I went into the Comic Book store, but that is another story for another day. So even now when my days are dark and gloomy, and I need some instant encouragement I'll start reading my Batman Comics because I believe that reading provides me with new input and knowledge that can help me through the day times.
