So, I decided to go back to church last night. And I haven't been in months, I was just really there to listen and get some spiritual guidance. But mostly just to go... I did find some insight to help me maintain my focus. And people I haven't seen in months were approaching me with smiles and asking questions like where have I been, and why aren't you on Facebook, and some even said... wow... you've lost weight.
Byron (The Bass Player) was all smiles when I showed up though, I couldn't help but smile back nervously because he has always been a great friend. We talked a bit after the service, mostly about MUSIC... he wanted to know if I was back for good this time. I just told him, I'm working on being consistent and reliable. As for music, I'm working on Fretboard Exercises for about 15 minutes a day. I'm still working on my music plan, but it was be more about education and less about playing gigs. Anyway, I sold all my bass guitar equipment, so I'll have to get a new Bass Amp & Cabinet. Although, I know which gear I want... when I'm ready to start gigging. I'd like to say I'll be ready to play again in about 12 weeks, but I don't know yet... I need time to really set some solid music goals based on my core values... so I can make real progress. But playing inside a church is not on my list... I want to play in front of people... and I'd like to travel as well.
