Bicycling in Winter
Preparation is the key, however if you happen to not be prepared just do what you can along the way. I haven't rode my bike to work since I think October, its now December and the only reason was because I simply didn't have enough winter clothing for the ride. So tonight I bought a head cap and some gloves, and now I think I'm prepared for my 30 to 45 minute bike ride in the morning. However, I'm glad I don't have to deal with snow like some people do in the East Coast of the United States. Yet, I still know that eventually I need to buy a regular sized bike so I don't feel as though I'm having to ride harder. Although, it could be the reason the bike rides feel tougher is because my body isn't use to it. So I'm going to really try to ride my bike for 21 days straight... and really make it a demand on my body and routine... because its needed. But I'll see what Monday brings and go from there. However, I will say that I'm prepared for riding my bike when its raining, so I'll have to take great care on those days.
