The Used Bike!

Finances are a bit tough right now, so trying to purchase a bike that is near $200 or even $500 is just not good common sense. I bought the bike I'm currently using from a coworker for about $40, and I'll admit I wonder how many other items are people willing to sell that I can use right now. So yes, about a week ago my 2003 Ford Truck (nearing 200,000 miles) started to need major work done and it occurred to me that I need to start thinking of another form of transportation. However, I didn't want to get a new or used truck, I simply wanted a new form of transportation that would allow me to lose weight (currently at 209lbs) and save excess spending when it comes to gas.

Right now though, I'm adjusting to the brutal truth that I'm out of shape, my coworker said on Tuesday that I looked exhausted when I got to work and that I was sweating like I had just got out of the shower. So tomorrow, I'm going to wear some shorts and a sports top, and put my work clothes in my bag with some deodorant so I don't smell too bad when I start working. Riding my bike to work is challenging because I have to make sure I get up early for the 45 minute bike ride. But riding back home is a bit more challenging because I am having to ride up a bit of a hill that is stretched out over 3 miles, but as long as I make it home in 45 minutes or less, I feel good and my body feels good too.

Well wish me luck on tomorrow and Friday... I'm sure I'm going to need it.
