~ The strange thing about dreams is that sometimes when you're in them, you don't always know if you're awake or sleep. ~
Sitting at a campfire exhausted from constantly fearing that tonight I will be attacked by a tiger doesn't help the mind, in fact I'd reckon that the body can only stay awake for about 130 hrs before I simply stop functioning. Weapon in hand, and the fire still burning... I must've drifted off and fallen asleep... because when I woke up... there was a pair of dead rabbits next to the fire.
~ Note: last night I had fallen asleep on the couch instead of going to bed, so maybe the dream was parallel with my reality... not really sure. ~
The dead rabbits at my feet, and the warmth of the sun hitting my face. It became very apparent that I had fallen asleep, and then the questions came to my mind... including guilt. Guilt because I should be dead or in the terrifying grasp of a revenge filled mother. But also I wondered if the tiger had brought me the dead rabbits or did I sleep walk and go hunting for the rabbits. Obviously, the tiger killed the rabbits and brought them to my campsite... but I wonder why.
Did she want me plump and juice when she killed me?
Did she want me to have energy so that when we fought it would be a great fight?
It's pretty creepy either way, because I know she refuses to let me leave the valley, or she would've stopped watching me from the perch at the edge of the den... and maybe she would've moved on and found a new mate to start a new family. I don't know much about Tigers or how they mourn, nor do I understand the behavior of White Tigers.
~ Dream or not... the White Tiger has a significance that I'm still trying to figure out. What does she want with me? ~
